Re:Premature Infant Needs Operation To Outlive Kidney Damage
Hey there,
Premature Newly born baby Needs Operation To Survive Kidney Damage
When Deepa and Venkatesan, who were expecting baby twins, had gone to the 8-month scan recently to a clinic in their hometown of Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu,
the doctors gave them one of the most shocking news. Deepas heart started beating fast and her blood pressure went high after they told her that one of her babies won't survive,
and that the other had some blockage in the urinary system, reminisces Deepa, adding, They told them that they have to go to Chennai immediately and deliver the only surviving child,
as he/she will not stay alive for very long inside her uterus.
The heavily pregnant mother and distressed father got on the rickety crowded bus immediately (as they didn't have money to arrange a private vehicle) to Chennai, praying that nothing should happen to their baby along the way.
Their prayers were answered; they were able to get to Chennai safely and rushed to a hospital where Deepa gave birth via C-section to a premature baby boy on admission. Their baby survived but suffered plenty of complications,
including kidney damage and needs surgery immediately. His poor parents are incapable of pay for his medicines, and the surgery is completely from their reach.
Venkatesan, who used to work as a farmer cum daily wager at home for Rs 300 a day, is now unemployed and running out of both hope and money. Despite borrowing heavily from friends and close ones,
he has only managed to pay for the baby's medicines now (Rs 35,000). He sleeps on the hospital floor while his wife stays within the corridor right outside of the neonatal ICU where their son is recovering.
The poor baby must have a surgery soon before his condition grows more complicated and results in irreversible damage. Faraway from their hometown without income, his poor parents simply can't afford to save him,
please help even your $1 donation will help them to save there baby.
